Water Damage – Bellmore Home

Water damage occurred at this Bellmore Home while the family was away on vacation. The before photo shows the stained ceiling in the home where the HVAC condensate line had become clogged. Water backed up in the line and drained down between the floors, through the ceiling, and onto the floor. Water damage to the saturated substructure of the second floor would require that remove the stained drywall seen in the before photo to expose the floor joists so they could be dried. We employed commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to help with the drying process. Once the affected area had been sufficiently dried, we replaced the drywall.
